👩🏼‍🌾 It’s almost “go time” for growing!!! 🌱

The growing season is rapidly approaching!

Yay! Insert happy dance.

Five years ago I created the Grow course for folks who wanted to grow their own cannabis medicine (yes, high CBD “hemp” is cannabis). This marks the fifth year offering the course and I must say, it is my favorite (shhh, don’t tell the others). I love this 6-month journey with folks as they learn about themselves and cannabis while they tend their plants from the tiny seed to the dried flowers of harvest.

Yes, the world is unsettling now. The place I find comfort, the ground and the roots to walk a good path in the world is in the garden. The added benefit in these times is I’m also making medicine and am a source of medicine for my community.

How does this relate to you? Maybe you want to find security in your access to medicine and want to provide it for your community?

In lieu of that, I’ve created a free three part webinar series that will take folks on the journey of understanding how Cannabis can be helpful for a myriad of conditions, what you need to consider in seed selection and finally what conditions need to be met to grow a healthy medicinal crop.

Basically I wanted to be able to offer something that would set growers up for success. I’ve broken the decision making process up into a map of sorts.

Here are just a few questions folks ask and I’ll be answering in the series:

“What conditions is cannabis helpful with?”

“There are so many seed choices! Where do I begin?”

“What conditions does Cannabis need to thrive in my garden? Is it any different than my other garden friends?”

“What is bud rot and why is everyone talking about it?”

Yes, so many questions, and maybe you aren’t even sure what you should be asking. Not to worry, I’ll answer all these questions and more in the webinars. [Cue Ghostbusters theme song.]

And we'll play & have fun along the way!

For example, we can’t all grow all the different cultivars of cannabis available successfully outside. The temperature, amount of sunlight, and amount of rain all affect how well cannabis will do in our region.

Yes, we will discuss what the different variables are and what “kinds” of cannabis do well within these variables of daylight, humidity, and temperature.

Yes, we will define the vocab words like: autoflower, photoperiod, feminized and straight run (and no, it has nothing to do with sexuality). 😂

Intrigued?

I hope so! Come join me Wednesday, March 25th at 6:30 PM EST. We’ll focus on the herb Cannabis, how she's helpful, what conditions she's helpful with and of course, laughter and fun.

Here's the link to register!

See you soon!

No, you haven't received a mistaken summer email from the great beyond. I've decided to make this March email all about the promise of Flowers!!! I’m writing on a magnificently sunny day after days of snow (shoveling), single digit temperatures (bundling up to be outside), and fog like I’ve never seen this time of year (what the heck?!). The birds have pulled are beginning to belt out their new spring tunes and even the people I passed on my walk have warm-smile greetings and a spring in...

The Sun Returns! Every February seed catalogues pile up. Folks start posting photos of themselves buying their seeds and I get a little panicked. “Wait, I’m not ready yet!” I don’t even want to see the catalogues. Truth be told, I have already purchased a few packets from our Co-op, so who am I kidding? 😜 Yes, to quote my wife, "Many things can be true at one time." Energetically, this time of year I want to stay in the nesting/dreaming phase and burrow under my blankets a little longer. I’m...
